Telescope Foundation Supports the Launch of Be The People

Be The People launched a National Leadership Council of more than 50 leaders from across business, faith, sports, philanthropy, civil rights, the arts, and academia, united by a shared belief that the next 250 years can be even better than the last. Telescope Foundation is excited to support this work, which aligns with our belief that the most durable progress comes from networks rather than individuals acting alone.

The initiative is built on a simple premise: every American has a part to play. Be The People connects people with trusted organizations already solving problems in communities across the country, from veterans' support and youth mentorship to disaster recovery and civic engagement. Over the months ahead, the coalition will announce ways for Americans to get involved, including a problem-solving digital platform, major cultural events, and a summer-long series of activations.

The breadth of the National Leadership Council reflects the project's central idea, that across deep differences, Americans share a willingness to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the places they live, work, worship, and gather. Coalition members include organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the NBA, Goodwill, Special Olympics, GivingTuesday, and Points of Light, alongside leaders in faith, civil rights, philanthropy, the arts, and academia.
